The Eye and The Edit: Festival Fashion

While some people may take festival dressing more seriously than others, I’ve always understood Coachella as one assignment: an excuse, or challenge really, to test out all the trends you’ve been eyeing and dying to try — all at once. But with the return of Y2K dressing and my personal proximity to the Gen Z epicenter of New York City, fashion these days already feels anything but everyday. So my predictions for festival season? Some will embrace 2000s and western aesthetics head-to-toe, replacing the overdone hippie-inspired ensembles that have dominated years past. Others will emphasize aughties hairstyles and Euphoria makeup (myself included, thanks to @leahmichelleskin showing me how it's done), balanced with a relatively understated interpretation of the aforementioned styles. The key festival-friendly trends to style either approach around? See below.
